Registration Certificate (RC)
The Registration Certificate or RC is the official document that proves a vehicle is registered with the Indian Government. It is the most critical document for a used bike sale.
Engine Capacity (CC)
CC stands for Cubic Capacity. it represents the volume of the engine's cylinders. Generally, higher CC means more power but potentially lower fuel efficiency.
No Claim Bonus (NCB)
NCB is a discount given by insurance companies to the policyholder for not making any claims during the previous policy year. This can be transferred to a new bike.
Form 29 & 30
These are RTO forms required for the transfer of vehicle ownership. Form 29 is for notice of transfer, and Form 30 is for report of transfer.
Hypothecation (HP)
Hp indicates that the bike was purchased on a loan. A 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) from the bank is required to remove HP from the RC during sale.
Certified Used Bike
A bike that has undergone a rigorous multi-point inspection by professionals and is often sold with a limited warranty or return policy.
